Athirah graduated with LL.B (Hons) from International Islamic University of Malaysia in 2014 and subsequently completed her pupillage in one of the leading conveyancing firms in Kuala Lumpur.
Upon being called to the Malaysian Bar in 2015, she was engaged as a Trademark Executive in one of the prominent IP firms in Kuala Lumpur. She obtained experience in advising client regarding their trademark portfolio, handling trademark filings, responses to office action, preparing oppositions papers as well attending hearings. Apart from handling matters at Registry level, she also has have experience advising clients on advertising law, entertainment law, media law as well as gaming law. Thereafter, she was engaged as Legal Associate in one of the top IP Firm in Kuala Lumpur where she provides legal opinions and advice clients on IP enforcement, IP infringement, IP oppositions, and domain name disputes. She also has experience handling IP cases at High Court, Court of Appeal and Federal Court.
With a view to becoming an expert IP practitioner, she pursued her Master of Laws in Intellectual Property under a WIPO programme at Queensland University of Technology, Australia in 2018. Athirah loves listening to music during her leisure and enjoys travelling.
Atiqah graduated with LL.B (Hons) from Universiti Teknologi Mara in 2012 and subsequently completed her pupillage in one of the leading IP firms in Kuala Lumpur. Throughout her pupillage, she had been exposed to various fields of practice such as Conveyancing and General Litigation, apart from IP.
Upon being called to the Malaysian Bar in 2013, she commenced her early legal practice as a Legal Associate in one of the established law firms in Kuala Lumpur specialising in Civil Litigation.
She was then engaged as a Legal Executive in Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) and was assigned to tasks pertaining to corporate and commercial advisory including IP, information and communications technology, industrial relations claims, and data protection under the Personal Data Protection Act 2010.
Having multiple experiences in a diversity of legal fields is very significant in shaping up her credibility as a practitioner, while she always looks forward to being an expert in IP.
She loves exploring various outdoor activities including traveling, backpacking, water rafting, caving, paragliding, photography and just about any other outdoor recreational activity that can help in boosting up her self-confidence level and nurturing a creative mind.
