Michelle graduated with LL.B (Hons) with Second-Upper Class from the University of Hertfordshire, United Kingdom in 2011 and continued to pursue her Master Degree in Intellectual Property at Nottingham Trent University, United Kingdom which she had obtained in 2013.
Upon her return to Malaysia, she was attached to one of the leading IP firms in Malaysia where she gained her preliminary legal experiences. She was then engaged as a Legal Executive in Eastern & Oriental Berhad (E&O), a premier lifestyle property development group listed on the Main Board of Bursa Malaysia, where she was exposed to tasks pertaining to corporate and commercial advisory. Further, she was then engaged as a Legal Counsel in CAE Flight & Simulator Services Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary company of multinational company namely CAE which is a global leader in training for civil aviation, defence and security, and healthcare market, where she experienced a wider exposure and involved in corporate and commercial matters at the international level.
She obtained her Certificate of Legal Practice in 2015 and subsequently completed her pupillage in one of the leading corporate firms in Kuala Lumpur where she was exposed to mainly corporate practice involving capital market i.e. initial public offering (IPO) of company, acquisition etc.
Upon being called to the Malaysian Bar in 2017, she commenced her early legal practice as a Legal Associate in one of the established law firms in Kuala Lumpur specializing in General Litigation.
With a view to becoming an IP expert, she then joined Messrs Bustaman in 2018 where she is exposed to a wide range of IP practice and IP related matters.
