Sanjay read law at the University of Hertfordshire where he graduated with a LL.B (Hons). Thereafter, he pursued his Bar Professional Training Course at BPP University, Manchester and was admitted as a Barrister of England & Wales by the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn in 2018. A keen interest in music, film and technology, drew Sanjay to the area of Intellectual Property Law while at university.
In 2019, Sanjay began his pupillage at Messrs Bustaman where he was actively involved in various areas of practice including litigation involving intellectual property infringement, contractual disputes, trademark, industrial design, and copyright. He is also experienced in the drafting of cease and desist letters, notices of demand as well as letters of undertaking and has also assisted counsel in various court matters from the Magistrates Court to the Court of Appeal.
Sanjay was thereafter afforded the opportunity to be retained by Messrs Bustaman and continue his development in the legal industry which he graciously accepted.
Outside of the office, Sanjay is deeply passionate about music and spends most of his time writing music on the guitar, bass and keyboards. He is also an avid video-game enthusiast and enjoys reading about history, art and technology.
